On April 14, 2015, the Village of Bensenville hosted a ground breaking ceremony at 340 County Line Road with property owner Hamilton Partners Inc. and Keely Construction on a new 184,000-square-foot industrial building near O’Hare International Airport and the future Elgin-O’Hare Western Access.
The building itself will be a Class A warehouse facility with 32 foot clear ceiling height, have multiple semi-trailer docks along with moderate office space to accommodate a variety of potential businesses.
This project marks a tremendous investment in Bensenville and continues the revitalization of Bensenville’s East Business District. New street and sewer improvements have been completed in the area and the Village’s new Police & Emergency Management Headquarters at 345 E. Green Street is set to open late June. “The Village strongly believes in the future of our rapidly growing East Business District. We are working with developers and have the policies in place to get deals done very efficiently” said Village President Frank Soto. “This development is a big win and should help stimulate further development in this key corridor along the future Elgin O’Hare Western Access Tollway” With direct access planned to the future I-490 Tollway near the intersection of Green Street and County Line Road and great visibility from the Tollway, Bensenville’s East Business District is primed for even more redevelopment.
