Patrick McKillen is a founding partner of Hamilton Partners and plays a central role in the firm’s office development, leasing, and land acquisition efforts, with a particular focus on the Hamilton Lakes development in Itasca, Illinois. Since the company’s founding in 1987, Pat has helped grow its office portfolio by approximately 5 million square feet, delivering thoughtfully planned, high-performance properties that meet the evolving needs of corporate users and long-term investors.
With more than 35 years of experience in commercial real estate, Pat has been involved in over $500 million in transactions, including office and land acquisitions, build-to-suit developments, complex lease negotiations, joint venture structuring, and property management. He is highly regarded for his ability to partner with tenants and buyers to create flexible, long-term real estate solutions, particularly within the Hamilton Lakes campus.
Before co-founding Hamilton Partners, Pat was a Partner with the Trammell Crow Company in Chicago, where he oversaw office development and leasing activities across multiple suburban submarkets.
Pat earned his Juris Doctor from John Marshall University in 1983 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Notre Dame, Class of 1978. He is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois, a licensed real estate broker, and a member of the American Bar Association. Pat is also an active member of the University of Notre Dame Monogram Club, and previously served as President of the Tower Lakes Plan Commission from 1991 to 2001.
